Slide 1 - Slide

Heat of the sun
Solar boiler - free energy
from solar radiation
  • Solar colector: water flows through black tubes (roof)
  • Solar radiation is absorbed and heats up the water
  • Hot water goes to the hot water taps.
  • In a storage tank the hot water is kept warm by the central heating system

Slide 2 - Slide

No pump required: Thermosiphon-system

Slide 3 - Slide

Storing heat
Groundwater - in the summer water
is used to cool down a building and
in the winter the same water heats up
the building.
Heatpump
- Groundwater = 15 degrees
- It flows alongside the heating water of a building = +15 degrees  (30)
- and with a heatpump this is increased to 40 degrees

Slide 4 - Slide

Residual heat
Power stations use
steam turbines (fossil fuels)
  • Residual heat goes into the
         river with coolingwater
  • It is also possible to pump this warm water to housing estates.
  • Growers in horticultural areas use it to heat greenhouses.
