WHICH IS PERSONAL AND STUDENT FOCUSED AND RELATED TO THE UNDERGROWTH
HIER AFBEELDING VAN ZELFGEMAAKTE ECOPRINT

Slide 16 - Slide

IN THIS VIDEO WE WILL DEMONSTRATE ONE OF THEM: MAKING A ECOPRINT

THE STUDENTS ARE GOING TO MAKE A VERY SPECIAL ARTWORK INSPIRED
BY UNDERGROWTH. IT’S CALLED AN ECOPRINT. IT'S A ARTWORK MADE OF NATURE.

Slide 17 - Slide

VINCENT MADE THIS PAINTING WHEN HE WAS IN AN INSTITUTION FOR HIS MENTAL HEALTH. WHILE HE WAS THERE HE PAINTED OUTDOORS A LOT. NATURE INSPIRED EN COMFORTED HIM. HE HAD ALWAYS LOVED NATURE. AS A YOUNG BOY HE WOULD WANDER AROUND THE FIELDS AND WOODS. THE STUDENTS WILL DIVE INTO NATURE ASWELL. THEY WILL MAKE AN ECOPRINT OF NATURE THEY COLLECTED.

Slide 18 - Slide

WE’RE GOING TO STAMP WITH NATURE. THE STUDENTS HAVE COLLECTED NATURE, LIKE LEAVES OR FLOWERS. WITH THESE NATURE ITEMS WE ARE GOING TO STAMP. FIRST OF AL MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS CLEAN. AFTER THAT THE STUDENTS ARE GOING TO DECIDE WHAT KIND OF COMPOSITION THEY ARE GOING TO MAKE. THEY WILL ARRANGE THE FLOWERS AND LEAVES ON THE CANVAS. ARE THEY MAKING AN FIGURE OR PLACING THE ITEMS RANDOM?

Slide 19 - Slide

WHEN THE COMPOSITION IS DECIDED, THEY CAN START PAINTING THE LEAVES AND STAMP WITH THEM ON THE PAPER.

Slide 20 - Slide

WHEN THEY ARE FINISHED WITH STAMPING, THEY CAN DECIDE IF THEY NEED TO ADD ANYTHING. PERHAPS SOME BRUSHSTROKES OR PENDRAWINGS?

Slide 21 - Slide

PLACE THE ARTWORKS NEXT TO EACH OTHER AND DISCUSS THEM. YOU MIGHT LIKE TO USE THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
• ARE THERE ANY ARTWORKS WHERE YOU CAN EASILY TELL WHO MADE IT?
• WHICH ONES HAVE INTERESTING COLOURS OR DETAILS?
• DID YOU ENJOY MAKING THE ARTWORKS?
• NB: THERE ARE NO RIGHT OR WRONG ANSWERS HERE.

Slide 22 - Video

HOPEFULLY I HAVE MANAGED TO GIVE YOU AN INSPIRING IDEA OF THE CONTENT AND FORM OF THE PROGRAMME. I’D LIKE TO END WITH AN IMPRESSION OF A CLASS THAT HAS COMPLETED A SIMILAR PROGRAMME ABOUT THE BEDROOM.
THANK YOU KINDLY FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND HAVE FUN!

Thank you!
