All students new to College will cover ‘safeguarding’ as a mandatory topic; it is important to check that returning students have retained knowledge.





 ‘In small groups or pairs, discuss what you can recall
about ‘safeguarding’ in College.

What sort of dangers or risks might you encounter? How can you minimise any dangers or risk?

We are safeguarding against
  • Abuse or inappropriate relationships
  • Grooming (in person, online, by phone, etc)
  • Bullying, cyber-bullying
  • Sexual harassment
  • Self-harm, risky behaviour (can you think of any examples of risky behaviour?)
  • Unsafe activities and environments (on site and off)
  • Accidents e.g. road, home, workshop
  • Crime
  • Fear of crime
  • Radicalisation
