  • learn useful vocabulary around trade shows/ fairs

    Assignments

  • write an email to confirm a reservation

  • design a promotional flyer for your company stand

The assignment ' mingle with the crowd'  is optional, due to possible time limits.

Your company has decided to participate in a trade show

an exhibition at which businesses in a particular industry promote their products and services. 

Trade shows are an important resource for growing a business by meeting new vendors, finding great new products and exchanging ideas and knowledge with peers and potential clients.            You offer to help out.

Introduction

All the assignments from this lesson series are based on the idea that the student is helping out the selected company to prepare for a trade show/ fair.

What does a trade show look like?

  • vendors / suppliers

  • potential customers

  • latest trends, designs & inovations

  • place for networking/ making new connections
       -->   watch a short video about a furniture trade show

Reflect and check wether the students have researched the corporate identity and if they understand what exactly attracts interns to a company.

They will use the corporate identity to create a theme for the flyer. The internship opportunities are another part of the flyer.

To create the flyer in lesson 3, students need to research the corporate identity of their selected company,
This flyer will also address internship opportunities and will serve to promote internships, as well as the brand itself.

Compare the three intern vacancies to eachother.

Which one appeals to you the most? Why is that?
