What was the past simple again?

 verb+ed = past simple.

Past simple irregular verbs
Some verbs (werkwoorden) have their own form instead of -ed.

I think about you every day --> I thought about you every day.
I sing a song --> I sang a song
He runs very fast --> He ran very fast.

Past Time Expressions
When we talk about the past, we often use expressions like these:

  1. Yesterday, yesterday morning, yesterday afternoon
  2. Last night, last week, last month, last December
  3. An hour ago, two weeks ago, a month ago, a year ago
