Reading time

The oral exam takes five minutes, you will be asked about the:

- title of the book

- characters

- setting

- plot (main events)

- would you recommend the book?

What are you going to learn:

• Tell and discuss stories
• Recommend something
• Describe an event or experience
• Write a story

• Words related to stories and books (like Blurb!)
• Some grammar :(

Warm-up exercise:

We're going to write a story together

Each of you is going to write one sentence

You won't be able to see who wrote the previous sentences :)

I will call out who writes the next sentence

(most stories are written in the Past Tense)

Write down the titles of English books you know. Have you read any of them?

Write down what kind of books you like most: fiction, non-fiction, science fiction, fantasy etc. Give an example.

Books are often made into films. Have you seen any films based on books? Which was better, the book or the film?
