Examens

In periode 3 zijn we bezig geweest met Schrijven. Daar hebben jullie eind mei het examen voor.

Dat lijkt nog ver weg, maar er vallen veel lessen uit door de bufferweek, meivakantie, hemelvaart, etc.

Examen Schrijven, op school:

9W4A en 9W4B: vrijdag 21 mei in de ochtend voor praktijk

9W4C: dinsdag 18 mei in de middag na praktijk

9KA4O: dinsdag 18 mei in de middag na praktijk

Waar moet ik op letten bij het examen?

Hoofdletters:
Begin je zinnen met een hoofdletter. Ook I (ik) is altijd met een hoofdletter. Namen, seizoenen en dagen beginnen in het Engels óók met een hoofdletter!

Leestekens:
Sluit je zin af met een punt/uitroepteken/vraagteken. Gebruik komma's. Maar gebruik ook voegwoorden om je zinnen beter te laten lopen!
Op die manier kun je twee kortere zinnen aan elkaar koppelen en variëren in de lengte van je zinnen.

Voeg en verwijswoorden

Veel voorkomende voegwoorden: and, because, but, so, then, when, or, that.

Deze ken je wel en gebruik je ook al. Maar er zijn nog veel meer.
 

Minder voorkomende voegwoorden: while, until, therefore, unless, as soon as, except, although

Opsomming

First/second/etc (of all), and, in addition, further, furthermore, next, moreover, firstly/secondly/etc

Standaardzinnen

Je moet vaak jezelf voorstellen, iets over jezelf vertellen, over school of stage. Dat hebben we in de opdrachten ook geoefend.

Zorg dat je deze zinnen en woorden dus uit je hoofd kent.

Weet je iets niet? Omschrijf het dan, of schrijf iets anders. De examinator (ik) weet echt niet waar jij stage loopt bijvoorbeeld, of dat je paard rijdt of hockey speelt.

Hoe zeg je stage in het Engels?

Internship/traineeship

My internship is at ..

Nooit: I walk my internship

Hoe zeg je kapper in het Engels?

Hairdresser/barber/hairstylist

I'm a hairdresser/barber.

I want to open my own hair salon.

I cut hair.

I dye hair.

Let op: nooit PAINT hair. Dye = verf voor bijvoorbeeld wenkbrauwen, haar.

Je zegt wel: I like to paint my nails. Of: I like to do my nails.

Hoe zeg je schoonheidsspecialist in het Engels?

Beautician/cosmetologist/beauty thereapist

Cosmetologist: cosmetologists are trained and licensed to perform cosmetic treatments to the hair, skin, and nails.

Beautician: a trained person whose job it is to improve the appearance of a customer's face, body, and hair.

Beauty therapist: works with esthetics and skincare to help relieve a client's concerns and make sure they leave feeling their best.

Grammatica

Het is mooi als je laat zien dat je in de verleden tijd, toekomstige tijd en tegenwoordige tijd dingen kan omschrijven. 

Maar let er op dat je binnen een zin dezelfde tijd gebruikt, en dat je de werkwoorden juist spelt.

Let dus op je onregelmatige werkwoorden!
