Step 3:

Defending these statements

Group 1: "Noboru and Marji share many similarities"

Group 2: "Augustown has the same message as The Handmaid's Tale"

Group 3: "The Sailor Who Fell From Grace with the Sea and Persepolis address the same issues"

Group 4: "Offred and Ma Taffy are the same"

Each group: "The Sonnets From The Portuguese share similarities with at least one of the other literary works"
Your task:

In groups, you defend these statements and you make sure you provide as many arguments as you can, exploring every single facet of the story and storyline.

Enter these arguments on your LP page 'IO' under the header "Revision literary works - Defending the following statements (insert your statements)"

PLANNING
  • Your IOs: week 25 January
  • I will teach you until 9 December (3 more weeks) and give you feedback on your proposal and outline - use my help and input. We will also do a round of mock IOs and CITO listening.
  • Ms Vos will introduce herself in the next week or week after but you won't see her again until you are doing your IO with her.
  • Week between SE-2 and 25 January -> lesson cancellations because of Ms Vos' IOs with TH5. You improve your IO outline (in case that is still necessary) or work on your HL essay.
  • After IOs: HL essay deadline, SE-3 (paper 1), CITO reading (final exam) and paper 1 (final exam) etc...
  • Official Paper 1 exam: 10 May (during May vacation)
