What are we going to learn today?
Today we will learn:
What the differences are within sexuality, gender expression and sex are.

Slide 2 - Slide

Why?

Slide 3 - Slide

Sexual preference
Your sexual preference says something about which gender you are attracted to. The most common sexualities are:
- Heterosexual
- Homosexual
- Bisexual
- Pansexual
- Asexual

Slide 4 - Slide

Sex and gender
As a baby you are born with a certain gender, this is as a boy, girl or intersex.
For most people this corresponds with their gender, with which identity (clothing, hobbies, social norms) they feel comfortable (cisgender). This does not always have to be the case. In this case someone is a transgender.

Slide 5 - Slide

Genderdysforia
For some people this goes so far that their gender clashes with their physical sex; it feels like their body is not theirs. In this case, a person can undergo surgery  or hormone therapy to bring this into better balance.

Primary sexual characteristics
At (and before) birth, it is possible to see whether a child is male or female. You can see this from the genitals, these are called the primary sexual characteristics.
Very occasionally this is not clearly visible or are they mixed, this is called a intersex condition. During puberty, your body changes more and secondary sexual characteristics are added.
