How do you write ordinal numbers?
Most ordinal numbers are created by adding a 'th' to the end of the number.
Example : Four -> Fourth
Seven -> Seventh
Ten -> Tenth
For the words that 'th' does not fit, we use either 'st' or 'nd'
This may sometimes change the start of the word too.

'st' is for the first position, but we don't say onest as it is an exception to the rule.

  • One-first
  • Two-second
  • Three-third
  • Five-fifth
  • Eight-eighth
  • Nine-ninth
