Role Play
You’re at a party. A British exchange student comes up to you and introduces himself/herself. S/he wants to find out as much as possible about education and careers in the Netherlands. S/he asks you about the following subjects:

- where you go to school;
- what you study;
- what your favourite subjects are;
- what job you want to apply for after you have finished your education;
- in what kind of facility or sector you want to work (nursing home, child care, youth care, etc);
- why you’ve chosen an education in welfare and social care.

One of you is the foreign student who asks the questions. The other answers the questions at length and as fluently as possible. Switch roles after you have finished the conversation. The purpose of this exercise is to practise speaking about yourself, your education and plans for the future. Later on, as part of the Final Assignment, you are going to give a short speech about
yourself. Make sure you know all the correct words and expressions.
