Gerunds 
Passing a truck may be difficult.
Infinitives
The wheels rotate to move sideways.
Use a gerund when the verb is the subject of the sentence: Driving safely is necessary to avoid road
accidents.
Use to + infinitive to express purpose

Use a gerund when the verb follows a preposition: With the Copenhagen Wheel, the cyclist can
