Plant kingdom: 2 Phyla

-Plants which make spores (seedless plants)

-Plants which make seeds (seed producing plants)

Seeds vs. Spores

• Seeds are big
  
• Seed = multicellular
  
• Fruit or flowering plant
  

• Spores are small
  
• Spore = unicellular
  
• Underneath leaves
  

Seed producing plants

Conifers

• Have roots
• Stems (stengel) and leaves (needles)
• Seeds are covered with cones
  
  

Flowering plants

• Have roots
• Stems and leaves
  
• Have flowers for reproduction
• Can also have fruits

Seedless plants

Mosses

• Have tiny leaves
• No proper stem or roots
• Reproduce by spores
  
  

Ferns

• They have roots
• Stems and leaves with spores
