Slide 6 - Open question

Look at this good example of a full introduction.
How can it be improved?
Time well spent?

Every teacher beliefs that their subject is important and should get enough attention, however most students think otherwise. If you would ask students what the most useless subjects are, almost all of them would have the same answer. Therefore, students want to spend less time on those subjects and spend them on more useful subjects. A VWO-student who is having a hard time with for example chemistry, would rather spend his time on that, instead of making a painting in art class. This is why the opinion of students should be more important in the school's timetable.

Another example
With entrance from 1 January 2014 the Netherlands raised the legal purchase age to buy and consume alcohol from 16 to 18 years old. This applies to all kinds of alcohol. Raising the age-limit is intented to reduce the availability of alcohol, so the use among young people will decrease. But did it work?

Since the alcohol age limit is set to 18 years, it is a common topic to talk about. Not every parent is happy with their kids drinking under the 18, but I think that the age limit has no effect on the fact that teenagers will be teenagers and want to try things out.
