What is blood pressure?
Write it down:
Heartbeat > blood forced out of heart > in to the arteries (under pressure). 

Your blood pressure is the pressure put on the walls of your arteries.

Systole 
- Ventricles contract, blood away
from heart

Diastole
- Ventricles relax and fill up

Hypertension
Your blood pressure changes throughout the day. 

Blood pressure remains high? > Hypertension >  dangerous.

Stroke = when an artery is blocked or ruptured.

Atherosclerosis
A cause of hypertention

Buildup of fat > higher blood pressure

Artery blocked? > stop of bloodflow > heart attack

Plaque > bloodvestle can't expand > can burst > stroke
