In the following slides, we'll read an example of a review. This review will be about comedian Trevor Noah.

Afterwards, we will start writing our own review, which will also need to be handed in next lesson!

I was looking for a comedy and came across a Trevor Noah show. I have just watched his hilarious stand-up act for Comic Relief. Trevor Noah is a comedian from South Africa. He has an eye for political issues. For instance, in his show he makes jokes about African and Arabian people on American flights.

Watching this show was an entertaining experience. The show never gets boring. For instance, the jokes follow each other quickly. Noah comes across as a friendly person, but his jokes are quite sharp. However, that applies to more stand-up comedians. Take for example the fact that Noah makes jokes about American people as well as British people. There was one thing that I didn’t really like: Noah is not a very good imitator. His imitations of the flight attendant, for example, are a bit exaggerated.

In short, Noah’s show is interesting and funny. You easily forget the time when you are watching him. I urge everybody to follow Trevor Noah’s work.
