The most common prepositions of place
In = in een (gesloten) ruimte of locatie
I am in the classroom. He is in space.
On = op een oppervlakte of openbaar vervoer
My cat Raja eats dinner on the table. Mum is on the roof.
At = op een specifieke plaats of locatie
Today, I am at school. She usually meets her boyfriend at the cinema.

Openbaar vervoer:
in = je moet zitten (taxi)
on = je hoeft niet perse te zitten (bus, plane)
Other prepositions of place
next to / beside = naast
I sit next to my friend in class.

behind = achter
Our other friend sits behind us.

in front of = voor
The teacher is standing in front of the board.

Under / Over = het bedekt iets anders
Between = tussen 2 dingen
Among = tussen meer dan 2 dingen
Other prepositions of place
under/below = onder.
My legs are under the table.  (bedekt)
Classroom 114 is below room 216. (lager dan)

over/above = boven
She held the umbrella over her head. (bedekt)
I walked a path above the lake. (hoger dan)

Between/among = tussen
I sam him among the crowd. (meer dan 2)
My house is between two other houses. (2)
