Wales has a "daffodil" & a "leek" as national symbols.

What do you think they are?

Slide 11 - Open question

The "Liemerse" flag.
The colours of the flag were not chosen at random. The shades of red have a special meaning. Warmth, love, passion and family ties, that is what it symbolizes. There is also a meaning behind the shape. The entire region is represented on  this flag. The stripes on the flag represent "the Oude IJssel" and "the Rhine". These rivers form the regional boundaries of our region.
