You will be able to identify and use the main parts of speech in English such as:

 nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs.

5 Key parts of speech

Noun	Person, place or Think	The cat sleeps.
Verb	Action or state	She runs fast.
Adverb	Describes how	It is a big house.
Adjective	Describes a noun	He sings loudly .

🟦 1. Noun = a person, place, or thing

Example: The dog is happy.

Nouns are things or names.

🧠 Tip: If you can put a / the / my in front of it, it’s probably a noun.

🟩 2. Verb = an action or state

Example: She runs every day.

Verbs tell us what happens or what someone does.

🧠 Tip: Can you do it? Then it’s probably a verb!

🟨 3. Adjective = describes a noun

It’s a big house.

It's an ugly building

🧠 Tip: Often comes before the noun.

🟥 4. Adverb = describes a verb (or adjective)

He speaks slowly.

The car drives fast

🧠 Tip: Often ends in -ly.
