Adjectives and adverbs:

Slide 1 - Slide

Adjectives give more information about nouns. Their form does not change for singular and plural nouns or for male and female.
  • Examples: a young girl / two young boys.
We can also use adjectives after the verbs . We use and between two adjectives after a verb.
  • Example: That flight was long and tiring.
We sometimes use verbs ending in -ed and -ing.
  • Examples:  Confused and smoked.

Slide 2 - Slide

We sometimes put more than one adjective in front of a noun. We put 'opinion' adjectives before others.
Example: Look at these amazing multi-coloured tropical fish.
We put adjectives describing type or purpose next to the noun.
We can use adverbs of degree to make most adjectives stronger or weaker.
