Why Use Linking Words (signaalwoorden)?

Signaalwoorden (ook wel verbindingswoorden) zijn woorden die ideeën met elkaar verbinden in een zin of tussen zinnen.

Ze maken je spreken en schrijven:

• duidelijker

• logischer

• vloeiender

• makkelijker te begrijpen

Basic linking words 

• after = nadat / daarna

• also = ook

• because = omdat

• before = voordat

• but = maar

• if = als

• or = of 

• so = dus 

• then = dan / daarna

More linking words 

• for example = bijvoorbeeld
• first = eerst
• next = daarna / vervolgens
• finally = tot slot / uiteindelijk
• however = echter / maar
• although = hoewel
• on the one hand = aan de ene kant
• therefore = daarom
• as a result = als gevolg daarvan
• in addition = bovendien
