Introduction to MYP2 French
In the first term all students will be in Emergent level (phase 1 or 2).
You'll start with basic vocabulary and phrases
We will build up from here.
Interactive activities ! => Games, role-play, projects to learn with fun !
Cultural understanding => Explore French-speaking countries and their similar and different traditions. You will compare those with your own home cultures !

In class we will work with the 4 skills, which we group as follows.
Criterion A => based on listening
Criterion B => based on reading
Criterion C => based on oral
Criterion D => based on writing

- Do formative tasks for each criterion (A, B, C and D).
- Receive feedback for your formatives tasks and reflect on this feedback.
- Be assessed (at least) once per criterion (A, B, C and D).
- Develop ATL skills that will help your performance in class and in real life.

You'll expand vocabulary and tackle complex grammar.
Same structure as MYP2 for formative tasks, summative assessments and ATL skills.
At the end of the year, students either stay in Emergeny level or advance to Capable.

Focus on fluency and deeper cultural insights.
We will cover topics such as Healthy habits, Biographies, your academic and work futures and the Francophone World!
And... we will travel to FRANCE ! (possibility to do an exchange with French students, too)

you could study French B SL/HL in DP*
Prepare for personal projects and further studies !
