What do you always have to do?

  • Always take a notebook with you to class. 
  • Write down the grammar rules in your notebook.
  • Write other important stuff in your notebook.

No notebook (or an empty one) means that you've forgotten your work.


Create a vocabulary list at the end of your notebook. This broadens your vocabulary and help you remember more.

18a: On your own:
  • You are going to read a text about hackers. Do you know what a hacker is?
  • Tick the correct box.

18b: In pairs:
Have you ever been hacked? What happened? What did you do when you found out you were hacked? Discuss your answer with your classmate.

Strategy
Answering MC questions
When answering a multiple choice question, follow these steps:

1. First read the question(s) without looking at the possible answers.
2. Then read the part of the text it refers to.
3. Formulate your own answer to the question.
4. Scan the answer choices for something resembling / similar to your answer.

19B On your own:
  • Read the text and the questions from exercise c.
  • Complete the sentences using your own words.

19C On your own:
Now read the text again and answer the questions by choosing the correct answer.

  • In pairs:
Which of the hacking attacks from the text is the funniest, according to you? Why? Discuss your answer with your classmate.
