ELL's and LD's
https://ctserc.org/documents/resources/ELLs-with-special-needs.pdf

This resource is FULL of helpful information that will assist teachers in identifying English Language Learners that may have learning disabilities.  It is so important to remember that our ELL's have LD's at the same rate as all of our students.

There is no need to wait until a student is proficient in English to begin interventions for learning disabilities.

Connections to Classroom

When the ability to communicate with an ELL student is impeded, it can be overwhelming to try and support them in a way that meets all of their needs.  We often have enough time to make sure that they are at least getting the basics of our class goings-on, but how can we do better for the ELL students that need a broader level of intervention?   The tips, checklists, charts and further lists of resources in this guide are going to be extremely helpful references.   I have briefly listed the headings that are included in the guide.
