Past Continuous (PC)

The Ship was sailing,

• PC gebeurd als eerst.
• PC is een momentopname.
• PC: was (I, He, She, It) of were ( You, We, You, They)
• PC: werkwoord + ing
  

Past Simple (PS)

when... It stopped

• PS gebeurd later.
• PS is een feit of gewoonte in de verleden tijd.
• PS: werkwoord + ed of 2e rijtje onr. werkwoord.
