Pinocchio Vampire Slayer

- We're going to read the graphic novel  Pinocchio Vampire Slayer every 10-15 minutes at the start of class over the next few weeks
                                     Writing Assignment
- In class writing assignment of 500 words
- Write a different ending
- You will get laptops to work on this in silence in class (not allowed to take it home with you)
- No use of ChatGTP (this will get you a fail)
- The assignment should be written in your own words

Word List speaking test
- Every week you will be asked to learn 18 to 25 words from the wordlist (see magister)
- We will start this on Tuesday April 9th
- 3 students per lesson will be asked to give the correct translation 
- Every lesson until the end of the school year
- You can be asked to do this multiple times, so always come prepared
- It's translation only: Dutch to English (no spelling)
- If anyone whispers the answer they will get an immediate fail for this assignment by default, and will be asked to leave class for the remainder of that lesson

Grammar: Prefixes and Suffixes
Prefixes:
dis- =  means to treat with contempt (minachting)/opposite of  – disrespect
ir- = means not – irrelevant
il- 
= means not – illegitimate
im- =
means not – impossible

Suffixes:
-ment = noun form of a proces – achievement
- ness = state, quality or condition of  - kindness
- ed = past tense - walked

These are not in Stepping Stones but will be on the test!!
