1. Startklaar
Bij de start van iedere les verwelkomt de docent de leerlingen bij de ingang van de deur, noemt leerlingen bij naam, maakt oogcontact en besteedt aandacht aan hun welbevinden. De docent geeft het goede voorbeeld en spreekt hoge verwachtingen uit voor het verloop van de les door succescriteria op gewenst gedrag, schooltaal en effectief leren te benoemen. De leerlingen zijn startklaar: ingelogd in LessonUp, telefoons opgeborgen in het Zakkie, en JdW-map op tafel.

4. Inclusieve didactiek
De docent past diverse strategieën toe om de betrokkenheid van alle leerlingen te garanderen. Door regelmatig het begrip van de lesstof te controleren en zo nodig de uitleg aan te passen, blijft de stof toegankelijk voor iedereen. Flexibele en heterogene differentiatie ondersteunt dit proces. Interactie in de klas wordt versterkt door het gebruik van thuistalen. Verder creëert de docent een contextrijke en inclusieve leeromgeving door (culturele) achtergronden in de lesstof te integreren. Door positief en proactief op leerlinggedrag te reageren, wordt het voor leerlingen makkelijker om gewenst gedrag te tonen en actief deel te nemen aan de les.
