Linking words
- Furthermore, on the contrary, nevertheless, additionally, firstly, secondly, ..
- Personal opinion: in my view, in my opinion, I believe that
- Concluding: finally, all in all, on the whole, in conclusion,
- Use linking words such as; however and moreover at the beginning of your sentence and but/and in the middle of a sentence.

Do

- Use as many linking words as possible
- Be polite (NO: want, have to, swearing)
- Always write 'i'(ik) with a capital letter 
- Use a dictionary to change words and to check for spelling mistakes

Don't

-Use abbreviations (TBT/CU later)
-Use contractions: can’t, I’m
-Use slang (U, wanna, gonna)
-Be too informal/vague
-Use etc.

Battle plan 
1.  Analyze: read the ad carefully and highlight important elements.
2. Brainstorm: qualities/ skills/ degrees
3. Organize: write down ideas for the requirements from the ad
4. Structure: what will you discuss in each paragraph
5. First draft: write your letter
6. Peer feedback: let someone else read it
7. Editing: reread, focus on grammar and vocab

JOB APPLICATION LETTER
You decide to apply for the job (to the vacancy that you’ve found) and write a letter of application.
In this letter (150 – 200 words) you will say;
- Why you want this job
- What makes this vacancy special or interesting
- What makes you qualified for the job
- Name at least one asset that you will be for this company

- Zorg ervoor dat je de brief netjes begint en eindigt.
