1) - Covid vaccine administration rapidly increasing; 13.45 cr doses administered in July: Health minister

In India, a total of 50,10,09,609 vaccine doses have been administered through 58,08,344 sessions, according to the provisional report till 7 am on Saturday.

1) - Neeraj Chopra

Neeraj Chopra is an Indian track and field athlete who competes in the javelin throw. He is the first track and field athlete to win an Olympic gold medal for India. Indian Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra bagged a historic gold medal in the men's javelin throw event making it the country's first gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2021 and India's overall first gold in athletics since the inception of the Olympics. The athlete bagged an incredible first throw of 87.03 which was enough to secure him the gold as none of the other contenders managed to come close to him.

Mary Kom

Who is Mary Kom? A sportswoman who has made India proud with her glorious achievements, Mary Kom is a boxer—the only Indian woman boxer who managed to qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics where she also won a Bronze Medal. A five-time world amateur boxing champion, she is surprisingly serene and philosophical about all her achievements.

Bajrang Punia

Bajrang Punia is a Indian freestyle wrestler, who competes in the 65-kg weight category. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Punia won a bronze medal by defeating Kazakhstan’s Daulet Niyazbekov with a wide 8-0 margin. Punia is the only Indian wrestler to win 3 medals at the World Wrestling Championships.

 

Kamal Preet Kaur

Kamal Preet Kaur is an Indian Athlete from Punjab. She is the first Indian woman to breach the 65m barrier in discus throw. She is supported by Go Sports Foundation through the Rahul David Athlete Mentorship Program me. Her best performance came when she finished 6th in discus throw at Tokyo 2020.

Pal was the UP state topper in the JEE Main 2021 February session with a 99.988 percentile but was unsatisfied with her performance. Hence, she appeared for the April session.
