Do's
- Always write 'I' (ik) with a capital letter
- Always stick to the structure of an application letter
- Always make sure your spelling and grammar is correct
- Write the first letter of a month and day with a capital letter (January / Monday)
Don'ts
- Don't use slang (spreektaal)
- Don't abbreviate (afkorten) words; I am --> not I'm
- Don't brag too much (opscheppen) about your qualities and experience, but don't downplay your skills either!
- Don't write more than one page; your letter should be brief and easy to read.
