  • There were many differences between city states and people.
  • But....
  • They spoke the same language, worshipped the same Gods and built the same type of temples.

  • Lots of cultural development! 
  • Particularly in Athens, because it was rich and attracted many types of people. 
  • They also had good education in language and culture (for boys...).

The Greek spread their culture. Alexander the Great was one of the most famous leaders who did so!

Because Roman and Greek culture are so similar that we know them under a combined name: Classical Culture.
