  1. Open cars.csv in Excel
  2. Change appropriate field names 
  3. Save file as cars1.csv

Creating a flat-file database:

  1. Import cars1.csv into Access using Text File under External Data tab.
  2. Select the first row as heading in the import menu.
  3. Change the appropriate data type through the Advanced Settings 
  4. Change to design view and set the decimal settings to 2.
