relative pronouns
Quick overview

  • Betrekkelijk voornaamwoord
  • which, who(m), that, where, whose

Slide 7 - Slide

who / that - verwijzend naar personen
  1. The man, who I was talking to, is my uncle.
  2. I don't talk to people who / that ignore me.

  • The girl (who/that) I just met is very nice.
Na een voorzetsel komt whom.
  • The girl with whom you were talking is my sister.

Slide 8 - Slide

Grammar: relative pronouns
which / that - verwijzend naar dieren of dingen
1. I gave him a present, which he quickly unwrapped.
2. The dog which / that you are petting is mine.

Grammar: relative pronouns
where - verwijzend naar plaatsen
