Wanneer de 'Present Continuous'?

• De vorm gebruik je als iets aan de gang is op het moment dat je erover spreekt of schrijft.
• Iets gebeurt dus op dit moment.

Hoe ziet de vorm eruit?

am / are / is + werkwoord + ing

He is working at the moment.

Let op!

Als het werkwoord eindigt op een -e, dan laat je deze weg als je -ing toevoegt.

to dance - I'm dancing

Let op!

Als het werkwoord één lettergreep heeft en eindigt op een klinker + medeklinker verdubbel je de laatste medeklinker.

to hit  - hitting

to run - running

to sit - sitting

Present continuous - Negative

Subject +	Form of to be +	Not	Verb + ing
I	Am/’m	not	Watching	TV.
You/we/they	Are/’re	not	Watching	TV.
He/she/it	Is/’s	not	Watching	TV.

Present continuous - Questions
