     and personality rights.

  • Only for tangible works (not ideas, not facts)

  • For everyone! From photos by Erwin Olaf to your holiday snaps

  • So also: copied digital texts, PowerPoints for methods, etc.

The education exception
  • Copyright law has a number of exceptions for education.

  • Material may be used without prior permission.

  • School pays for this (surrender arrangement)
     and meets certain conditions. 

  • Rule of thumb: copy a maximum of 10% from a (work) book
     (with a max of 10 pages, and share with your pupils
     in a closed environment (class, elo)
