Adverb = give more information about another word.
For example:
1. go together
2. go away
Preposition = up, in, under, out, after, etc. 
For example:

2. go after

Phrasal verbs can have multiple meanings.
Ex: put down

To place something on the ground.
To humiliate or criticize someone.

Transitive or intransitive?
Transitive: you need something or someone after the verb.

Ex: look up to

to respect or admire a person 
 I really look up to.

Intransitive: it stands on it's own.

Ex: grow up
1. He grew up in Singapore
2. Your children are growing up so fast.
3. What do you want to be when you grow up?

Inseparable
