Why I wanted to become a teacher...

My Reason:

• When I was in high school, I fell in love with the subject of math. My math teacher had a huge impact on my life and made me love the topic. However, it was so much more than the subject. I became a math tutor and also fell in love with helping others and seeing their expressions when they were able to understand!  

What was your favorite subject in school growing up?

Personal Story:

• When I came to college, I was not always an Education major. I had started as a Biomedical Sciences major but my heart always went to teaching. So, I changed my major after my first semester and have been in Education ever since.

• In my first year of college, I had volunteered at the Goodwill where adults were able to get their high school diploma through a program there.  I was helping out an older lady with her math, which was her weakest subject, and she had told me that I helped her out more than she knew and she even passed her certification exam in order to get her diploma! That was the exact moment that I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. 

I want to be a                        teacher!!
