Individual presentations

What makes a presentation good?

Write down as many things as you can!

for example:

speak clearly 

look at your audience

structure of your speeah

etc.

Your speech

You will do a speech about a subject of your own choice. This will be your practical grade this semester.

Your speech should last between 3-5 minutes. 

That means you are talking for 3-5 minutes! 

You are allowed to use small (!) cue cards that only have key words on them (no sentences!)

Structure

Introduction: 

Catch attention! What subject have you chosen and why?

Main Body: 

Information about the subject, divided up into chapters.

Conclusion: 

Did you enjoy this task? Why? Did you learn anything new?

Practical grade

Your grade will have the following build-up:

1p. Structure (intro, body, conclusion)

3p. Content (long enough? interesting? chapters?)

3p. English (grammar, pronunciation)

3p. Presentation skills (eye contact, intonation, volume, pace)

Preparation

During ENA and at home.

Practice your speech in front of your friends/family/mirror.
