  1. What accent your speaker(s) use & why
  2. What does your speaker do (stress words/tone/etc.) to convey their message?
  3. What vocabulary is used in your fragment & the genre of your fragment?

Gather together in your groups,  you may move the tables around! Have a look at your fragment; 
  • What accent does the speaker use? Why do you think they speak in that accent? 
  • What techniques do they use to convey their message? Think about tone/stress on certain words etc.

Have a look at your type of fragment.
  • What is the genre of your fragment & what type of vocabulary is common within that genre?
  • What vocabulary is used in your fragment? Note these down in your booklet.
