Make the poetry activity under the poem
What words and idea's of the poem bring up warmth or cold?
The poem is rich in sensory details, making it great for analyzing how warmth (or cold) is depicted (Imagery)

Let's see if you can find them.

Idea behind the poem
The poem was written as part of a charity campaign for refugees, particularly those displaced by war and hardship.
Gaiman asked people on Twitter to share their memories of warmth, and he incorporated those responses into the poem :)
The title itself emphasizes both physical and emotional warmth—something that is very meaningful in discussions about refugees and displacement.

Slide 9 - Slide

What are your own memories of warmth? (physical and emotional).
