= saying how much of something there is.

Wanneer gebruik je many?
Je gebruikt many bij countable nouns: telbare zelfstandig naamwoorden
 Ze hebben een enkelvoudsvorm en meervoudsvorm.
 For example: apple, car, dollar, loaf, stamps, chair, book, job.

There are many apples on the table. 
Rich people usually own many cars. 
The bakery bakes many loaves of bread every morning.
My grandfather has collected many stamps.

Wanneer gebruik je much?
Je gebruikt much bij uncountable nouns: zelfstandige naamwoorden die je niet in het meervoud kan zetten en die je dus niet kan tellen (ontelbare zelfstandig naamwoorden)
For example: water, money, salt, bread, work, help, news, information, milk.

How much money have you got?
The recipe doesn’t need much milk.
The homework today isn't much work.
They don't need much help to understand the grammar.
There is much information on the website.

1. In bevestigende / positieve zinnen
