Much

You use much in combination with a singular noun (zelfstandig naamwoord).

Much is also used when the noun in uncountable

How much water did he drink? (singular + uncountable)

There isn't much milk (singular + uncountable)

Many

Many is used in combination with a plural noun.

Many is also used when a noun is countable

This house has many bedrooms (plural + countable)

There are many sweets on the table (plural + countable)
