Gebruik je om te verwijzen naar mensen/dieren/dingen.
Eerst: who, which en whose.

Meestal kun je 'who/ which' vervangen door 'that':
  • This is the cat which/that I got for my birthday.
  • I like people who / that smile a lot.
  • This is the key which/ that opens the garage.

Bij extra informatie die tussen komma's staat, moet je altijd 'who/ which, whose'  gebruiken.
  • The actress wore the red dress, which was made by a big designer, to the red carpet event.
  • The athlete, who had won several prices before, won the gold medal.
