We gebruiken prepositions of direction om aan te geven in welke richting iemand of iets zich beweegt.

= over --> I'm walking across the road
(a)round = rond/omheen --> She's running around the classroom
away from = weg van --> We ran away from him
down = langs/naar beneden --> we walked down the road
from = vanaf --> He came from the other side of the road
into = erin --> He walked into a building
off = vanaf / af --> He jumped off the building
over = over(heen) --> the cat jumped over the fence
through = door(heen) --> the plane flew through the clouds
to = naar --> We are going to school today

onto= bovenop -->The cat climbed onto the roof
