Assignment - Writing
A customer sent an email to you asking about the common diseases found in dogs. This customer wants to buy a dog but wants to know more about the diseases and their symptoms before the purchase. Write a reply mentioning the 3 diseases and 2 of their symptoms. Also mention that if the customer wants additional information, he/she can call the office to make an appointment.
Write the reply in the next slide.

The assignment
The customer decides to call the office for more information and wants to make an appointment. However, the office is very busy the coming weeks. There are only a few moments when the customer can come for an appointment. Prepare and have a 2 minute conversation with another student and make the appointment.
Student A
Student A – The office
- Answer the phone & greet the customer (mention the name of the office and your own name).
- Explain that it’s very busy at the moment.
- Say “no” and suggest a new date.
- Say “yes” and ask a time.
- Ask if it is possible after lunch.
- End the conversation
Student B
Student B – The customer
- Call the office.
- Greet the employee & give the reason for calling.
- Suggest a date.
- Say “no” and suggest a new date.
