Example:
"Mrs. Ahmed has an appointment on Tuesday at 10:30."

Keywords:

Tuesday
10:30

Slide 14 - Slide

3 . Listen for repetition
Speakers often repeat important information.
Example:

"The appointment is on Friday. Please remember, Friday at 2 p.m."
If it is repeated, it is probably important!

4. Ignore unnecessary details
Example:

"Mr. Jones called this morning while he was drinking coffee at home. He wants to change his appointment from Monday to Wednesday."
What is important here?
