Like és As

Mindkettőt összehasonlításra használjuk, de praktikus őket külön fordítani, így:
like = olyan, mint (de nem az!)
as = valamiként (és tényleg az)

Például:
Attila can run like a cheetah. --> De ő nem gepárd, ugyebár.
She works as a receptionist. --> És tényleg az.

„Hi all,
my name is Kane Gamble and I will be your English teacher. I am 29 years old and I have been teaching this language for 6 years. Some words about me as an introduction:
I live in Sárbogárd with my family, but I lived in Szolnok earlier. I have a beautiful wife, and we don't have any children yet. We have a cat, who is called Sára and a dog, whose name is Killer. I have a nice yellow Ferrari, it is a bit old, but still a good car. I like many sports, for example tennis, my favourite tennis player is Roger Federer by the way, and I also like football. My favourite team is Bristol FC, but my wife likes Leeds United, so we have trouble sometimes. I am happy to be here and I hope we will do a great job together.”
