Non- / un- / im- / il- / in- / ir- / dis- betekenen ‘niet’ of ‘het tegenovergestelde’.
nonsense, unused, impossible, illegal, incompatible, irresponsible, disappear

Re- betekent ‘opnieuw’, ‘terug’, of ‘als reactie op’.
return, revisit, replay, react

Mis- betekent ‘verkeerd’ of ‘niet’.

Suffixes (achterzetsel)

-er betekent ‘degene die de actie doet’. teacher, eater, rapper
-ing / -ment verandert het werkwoord in een zelfstandig naamwoord.

-ness verandert een bijwoord / bijvoeglijk naamwoord in een zelfstandig naamwoord.
