- unicellular organisms
-reproduction through cell division
- consist of cell wall and cell membrane (but do have a tiny piece of circular DNA in the cytoplasm)
-live everywhere
-obtain food from other organisms

  • Kill harmful bacteria on our skin
  • Feed on dead organisms
  • Can be used in making food: Yoghurt, Sauerkraut
