What makes a biotope?
A biotope is there because it has different
abiotic-
and
biotic factors
than an other place.
Abiotic factor
= an influence that is not alive. For example: wind.
Biotic factor
= an influence that is or was alive. For example: A tree.

Community
All organisms (part of biological factor!) which live and interact in a certain biotope together are called a
community
. (Dutch = levensgemeenschap)
So a forest community has trees, squirrels, owls and more!

A habitat is a place where one species can thrive/live.
Within a forest, a bird lives in the tree tops and a deer lives between the bushes. This is because this unique place suits them best.
